London : A second British police force has initiated an investigation into sexual offenses allegations involving actor and comedian Russell Brand. Thames Valley Police is now looking into harassment and stalking allegations made by a woman against Brand spanning from 2018 to 2022. While the police did not publicly name Brand, they confirmed receiving new information related to these allegations and stated that it would be inappropriate to comment on an ongoing investigation.
Metropolitan Police’s Ongoing Examination
This development follows London’s Metropolitan Police’s recent announcement that they are examining “a number of allegations of sexual offenses” against Russell Brand. The allegations against Brand came to light through a Channel 4 television documentary and investigations by The Times and Sunday Times. Brand, aged 48, vehemently denies allegations of sexual assault made by four women, with one accuser claiming she was sexually assaulted during a relationship with him when she was 16, and another alleging rape in Los Angeles in 2012.
