Media Personality Halima Boland’s Legal Battle : Two Years Imprisonment and Fine
Riyadh : The Criminal Court, under the leadership of Counselor Abdullah Al-Osaimi, has handed down a verdict sentencing journalist Halima Boland to two years of imprisonment with hard labor and a fine of two thousand dinars. She was charged with incitement to immorality and debauchery, as well as misuse of a phone due to photos and video clips.
The plaintiff had filed a complaint against her, alleging that she incited him towards immorality and debauchery through her photos and private videos. In response, the defendant claimed that the plaintiff had insulted her, leading her to file a complaint against him for insulting her and misusing the phone.
In this case, the Criminal Court ruled in favor of the plaintiff, sentencing Halima Boland to two years of imprisonment with hard labor and a fine of two thousand dinars for the offense of incitement to immorality and debauchery. However, it’s noteworthy that Halima Boland had also countered with accusations of insult and misuse of phone against the plaintiff.
