Terror Strikes : Indian Air Force Targeted in Kashmir
Poonch: In Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, terrorists attacked a convoy of Indian Air Force vehicles. This happened while the convoy was on its way to Sanai Top in Surankote area. The attack left at least five soldiers injured. The security forces have sealed off the area and are searching for the terrorists. It’s feared that the number of casualties might rise. The injured soldiers have been taken to Command Hospital, Udhampur for treatment.
The former Deputy CM of Jammu and Kashmir mentioned that during election time, there’s a risk of infiltration from Pakistan to disrupt the atmosphere. Security forces are on high alert to catch and neutralize those responsible for the attack.
This incident is concerning, especially as it happened just before the third phase of Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Such attacks can create fear and disrupt the democratic process. It highlights the ongoing security challenges in the region and the need for vigilant measures to counter terrorism.
