The visit will also focus on expanding educational exchanges and people-to-people ties, as well as working together to address common challenges like climate change, workforce development, and health security. Following their attendance at the QUAD Summit in Sydney, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will host the Quad Leaders’ Summit in 2023 in Sydney. The summit will be attended by leaders from India, Japan, the United States, namely Narendra Modi, Kishida Fumio, and Joe Biden, respectively. The state visit of Prime Minister Modi to the US, which includes a state dinner, will occur a month before the QUAD Summit, and aims to strengthen the partnership and warm relationship between India and the US, while also reinforcing the commitment to a free, open, prosperous, and secure Indo-Pacific region. As part of his upcoming visit to Japan, Papua New Guinea, and Australia, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the G7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan from May 20 to 21, where he will represent India. During the summit, he is also expected to meet with US President Joe Biden. Additionally, the two leaders are scheduled to meet again in September during India’s chairmanship of the G20 Leadership Summit.

The relationship between the US and India has strengthened in recent years, with a focus on collaboration in defence, trade, energy, and technology. Both countries are committed to further strengthening their strategic partnership, including in the Indo-Pacific region, where the US has expressed support for India’s role in countering Chinese aggression.
